Celebrating 10 years!

Friends,
I am taking a moment today to celebrate. 10 years ago, Friends of Padhar Schools was born. It had been 'gestating' for a long time but was finally birthed on February 10, 2015. Since then, we've sent over $175,000 to support schools in rural India and provided scholarships for 588 students. We've provided funding for computers, desks, books, uniforms, sewing machines, water purification systems, and solar panels. We've purchased a bus to provide transportation to school for children in faraway villages. We've supported a fund for teachers' salaries and provided necessary funding to help our schools through the Covid-19 lockdown. There are many things we have been unable to do, but I am proud of the things we've done.

These last few years have been difficult - for our organization and for our donors - but I am optimistic about the future of FoPS. I have relocated to the US, which provides many opportunities to host fundraisers and speak about our work.
