GBGM Mission Gathering: Day 1

After a long day of travel, I arrived at the posh hotel around 11:00PM. Thankfully, I was able to get some good sleep before this morning. This morning, we began with worship - music, scripture, testimonies, prayer and building an altar. All was designed to begin to build the community, to emphasize the connections between us and to reinforce the idea that we are not alone in this work. The Opening Worship team - of which I was a part - worked diligently to ensure all members used our gifts to strengthen the bonds between us.

I loved singing in Spanish!

Our hotel is so fancy and the food is amazing! I need to take photos tomorrow of the elaborate food presentation.

It has been really fun to see friends and colleagues. I spent much of the day catching up with people I haven’t seen in years.

I have some jet lag, so I will keep it short for today. Tomorrow is a CIty tour and some fun stuff! Goodnight. Buenos Noches!
