Supporting our mission partners

Being with missionaries this past week has been a blessing. One of the revelations I’ve had this week is how active we as the Methodist Church throughout the world. As there are so many places in the world that need help, light and hope, I wanted to highlight two missionaries who are working in troubled areas. We may not be able to bring peace to these troubled places but we can support those who are working to bring hope, compassion and Christ to God’s people.

Jane Eesley in Palestine

Jane began her mission work as the  Advocacy coordinator for the Methodist Liaison Office in Jerusalem in August 2023, but has worked in Jerusalem before. Jane was a Mission Intern to Palestine from 1990-1991. Currently Jane works in the MLO with a representative from the British Methodist Church. She hosts a Zoom gathering every Wednesday called the  MLO Update and Prayer and all are welcome. For the Zoom link, email the MLO at office@mlojerusalem.org.

Ellyn Dubberly in El Salvador

Ellyn has been serving as a missionary for Children’s Ministries in El Salvador for 10+ years. She is called to a ministry of presence with the children and families of El Salvador. This may be in her role as a Sunday School teacher, an English teacher or in teaching her online Bible study. If you would like to support Ellyn in her work, to help the church support families in El Salvador, click on https://advance.umcmission.org/p-1591-dubberly-ellyn-benson.aspx and her advance number is 3021818.
