Finishing up July

As I write, it is July 25th and in 6 days, I will begin my journey to India. I travel from Alicante to Madrid to Frankfurt to Mumbai and arrive on August 2. This is a trip I’ve been planning and putting off for 2 1/2 years and my 9th trip to central India. I will be posting about my trip on the website for Friends of Padhar Schools, if you’d like to follow along.

July was filled with new adventures, new projects and new experiences here on the Costa Blanca. The first being the extreme heat we are currently enjoying… many of the daytime hours are spent inside in the air conditioning and/or next to a fan .

But more newness has happened : I received my residency card! Now, I am eligible for enrollment in the Spanish health care system. I also am privileged to be renting/borrowing a car from kind friends from the church. It has allowed me some freedom and I am grateful for that. It has certainly been an interesting summer and will continue as I journey to India in August. Adios until then.
