Holy Week 2024 - Monday

"O sing to the Lord, a new song, for God has done marvelous things!" (Psalm 98:1)

To reflect on Holy Week this year, I've decided to seek out and find some new music (new for me) that tells the story of the last week of the earthly life of Jesus, while also giving us a message to take with us into our lives.

Monday of Holy Week: "Hakaleje" (Sotho traditional) sung by the Soweto Gospel Choir. One of the joys of doing this exercise is looking for "new" music and listening to music that speaks to your soul. I listened to several songs sung by the Soweto Gospel Choir and this one was my favorite. The English translation is below:
