Holy Week 2024 - Wednesday

Holy Week 2024: "O sing to the Lord, a new song, for God has done marvelous things!" (Psalm 98:1)

To reflect on Holy Week this year, I've decided to seek out and find some new music (new for me) that tells the story of the last week of the earthly life of Jesus, while also giving us a message to take with us into our lives.

I love American Bluegrass music - especially the solemn female-led vocals (Gillian Welch, Allison Krauss, etc) So I did some research this morning on "modern bluegrass" and found Mipso. This song caught me today - especially the feeling of being immersed in the water. This could be a physical feeling or a metaphorical idea of baptism. But I like to be steeped in the water, either way.
